Brickhouse, Todd Wolfe (the guitarist for Sheryl Crow), Velvet Bulldozer and other bands will hit the stage at Semiahmoo Park for a "Blues by the Sea" concert on Saturday, Sept. 1.

Also on the bill at the second annual R&B festival are Jason Buie, Blues Puppy, Arsen Shomakhov, David "Boxcar" Gates and Ellie Johnson.

Adult tickets are $15. Kids under 12 will be admitted free, while a family pass goes for $40 at Tapestry and Surfside music shops, and also via Surrey Arts Centre's online ticketing system. Gates open at noon.

A salmon barbecue will also be part of the festival.
